Please note that firefox/opera claims our certificate to be unsecure, which is not true. The reason for this is that our certifcate is certified by Universität Karlsruhe, which is certified by Deutsches Forschungsnetz (German Research Net), which is certified by Deutsche Telekom AG (a root certificate). Unfortunately, firefox/opera are not shipped with trusting any of these sources, while Internet Explorer does. Hence, if you use Internet Explorer, everything should be fine. The conference will be held in the Audihörsaal of the University of Karlsruhe. A map with the location of the conference and hotels can be found here.

There are three airports that can be considered: Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe-Baden. Arriving at Frankfurt or Stuttgart, you can reach Karlsruhe in about one hour by train. The train schedule of germany can be queried at http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en. If you arrive at Karlsruhe-Baden there is a shuttle-bus which directly goes to Karlsruhe train station. The homepage of the shuttle company from Karlsruhe-Baden to Karlsruhe is http://www.hahn-express.de/

Note that there also exists an airport called Frankfurt-Hahn which is located rather far away from Frankfurt. Although there exists a shuttle, the travel time from Frankfurt-Hahn to Karlsruhe is more than 2 hours.

We reserved some hotels near the conference site that are guaranteed to be available until 4 weeks before ALGO2008. A map showing the location of hotels and conference can be found here.
